McDavid Scores Game-Winning Goal in Overtime

Oilers Defeat Stars 2-1 in Game 7

Connor McDavid has done it again. The Edmonton Oilers' captain scored the game-winning goal in overtime on Saturday night, sending his team to the Stanley Cup Final with a 2-1 victory over the Dallas Stars. It was McDavid's second goal of the game and his third point of the night. He now has 28 points in 16 playoff games this season.

The Oilers will now face the Colorado Avalanche in the Stanley Cup Final, which begins Monday night in Denver. The Oilers are looking to win their first Stanley Cup since 1990, while the Avalanche are looking to win their first since 2001.

The Oilers took an early lead in the game when McDavid scored on a power play just 3:12 into the first period. The Stars tied the game in the second period on a goal by Jamie Benn, but the Oilers regained the lead in the third period on a goal by Leon Draisaitl.

The Stars pulled their goalie in the final minutes of regulation and had a few chances to tie the game, but Mike Smith made several big saves to keep the Oilers in the lead.

In overtime, McDavid took a pass from Draisaitl and skated into the Stars' zone. He cut to the net and beat Stars goalie Jake Oettinger with a backhand shot.

The Oilers' victory was a hard-fought one, but they were able to pull it out in the end. They will now have a chance to win their first Stanley Cup in over 30 years.
